Grammy Award-winning singer and Fort Worth native Leon Bridges will return to his hometown for a concert at Dickies Arena on April 23, 2027.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 16, at 10 a.m. through leonbridges.com.

Bridges, whose blend of soul, R&B and contemporary influences has earned international recognition, began his musical career in Fort Worth, where he developed his distinctive sound while performing at local venues and open mic nights.

Born Todd Michael Bridges in Atlanta, Georgia, he moved to Fort Worth as a child and grew up immersed in the city’s music culture. Before achieving national success, Bridges worked as a dishwasher and performed around North Texas, building a following with his vintage-inspired soul music.

His breakthrough came with the release of his 2015 debut album, Coming Home, which featured the singles “Coming Home” and “River.” The album earned widespread critical acclaim and established Bridges as one of the leading voices in contemporary soul music.

His subsequent albums include Good Thing (2018), Gold-Diggers Sound (2021) and Leon (2024). He won a Grammy Award for best traditional R&B performance for “Bet Ain’t Worth the Hand” in 2019 and has collaborated with artists including Khruangbin, with whom he recorded the Texas Sun and Texas Moon EPs.

Throughout his career, Bridges has maintained strong ties to Fort Worth, frequently acknowledging the city’s influence on his music and artistic development.

The April performance at Dickies Arena marks another hometown appearance for the internationally recognized artist.
