Texas singer-songwriter Scott Sean White has released “Days Are Long,” a new album combining Americana songwriting with country arrangements and songs drawn from relationships, faith and everyday life.
The 2026 release follows White’s albums “Even Better on the Bad Days” from 2024 and “Call It Even” from 2021.
Raised in Kerrville, Texas, White took an unconventional path to a recording career. He spent decades writing songs before releasing his first album at age 53. His work has since reached other country artists, with songs recorded by Cody Johnson and Bryan Martin. White now spends much of the year touring, performing primarily in listening rooms and smaller venues around the country.
On Days Are Long, White pairs warm country arrangements and larger choruses with the detailed storytelling that has characterized his previous work.
Among the new songs is “She’d Be the Bible,” which examines enduring love, while “Piano for Sale” uses the story of an old church piano to trace the lives and memories connected to it. “Little Bit of Luck” follows a young couple beginning their life together with limited means but ambitious hopes for the future.
White’s songwriting often begins with conversations and stories he encounters, turning ordinary experiences into narratives designed to feel both personal and familiar.
With Days Are Long, White continues a recording career that started relatively late but was built on years of songwriting experience. The album adds another chapter to a catalog centered on observation, relationships and the perspective that comes with time.
