BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: Our latest print issue of Buddy Magazine is fresh off the press – it is literally the biggest issue in the 53-year history of the magazine, covering 48 pages, and in full color. It features 15 full-bleed “inside-covers” and articles with incedible artists who all have great stories to tell.

HUGE thanks go out to the entire AMAZING team of writers, photographers, archivists, distributors, and print pros who made it all happen – so proud of you all and your great work, and couldn’t be more fortunate to work with you.

And of course, there would be no print magazine at all without our amazing advertisers. Major support for this issue provided by Heritage Auctions, Jimmy Wallace, Maylee Thomas and George Fuller (Texas Homegrown Music/ The Guitar Sanctuary / Texas Music Revolution, The City of Garland Arts, Leo Hull , The Mesquite Guitar Show, Eastside Kings Blues Festival in Austin, The Longhorn Ballroom Backyard, KNON, Pit Lickin BBQ, Mark LTD Records, and Mojoseed Records. Go find them – and thank them for helping keep Buddy going strong.

This issue is a limited print run, and once it’s gone – its gone. It is also still free, so it technically won’t “sell-out,” but rather there is a 100% chance it will “FREE out”.

For those keeping score, 25 of our 33 digital covers since 2023 are now available in print.

Where to get your copy: The issue will be available at the door of the Dallas International Guitar Festival , on a first-come first-served basis, May 1-3 at Dallas Market Hall. We also included a show guide with all artists and show times on the various DIGF stages (pg. 4), so you will want to hang onto to it as a reference during the show.

So come to show, grab a copy, and come say ‘hello’ to us at the Buddy booth.

In the meantime – there are only two places in the DFW area where you can pick up a copy before the show: The Guitar Sanctuary in McKinney, and Jimmy Wallace Guitars on the Garland square.

And about that guitar on the cover – this legendary instrument was owned by both George Harrison and Eric Clapton, and dubbed “Pattie.” According to legend, it was used to write parts of both “Here Comes the Sun”, and “Layla.” The guitar is currently offered at auction with Heritage Auctions, and will be on display at DIGF.

What else is in this issue: Special section on recently scanned image finds from the archive, and also some great illustrations from Eurpean artist and musician Brian Kramer Blues Art; Illustrations & Cartooning.

Again – THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to everyone who made this issue happen.
