Longtime Dallas bassman Terry Montgomery Groff (1994 Tornado) died on Sunday, August 7, 2022 after years of ill health. These words from Brian “Hash Brown” Calway about the beloved Oak Cliff native: “Terry ‘Montgomery’ Groff was a great musician, a great bass player, and also an accomplished classical/jazz guitar player and songwriter, and a good friend. He always had a youthful view of life and the world. I am grateful that he was in my life, and that we played thousands of gigs together in the 15 years we played together.”
