When Dallas Rocked
A short film by Kirby Wornock
From the 1920s to the late 70s, Dallas, Texas, (not Austin) was the center of the music industry for the entire southwest. This film takes a look back at the 'glory days' of the major record companies and their big, regional offices in Big D. All of the major artists had to come to Dallas to promote their albums and perform here. Using behind the scenes photos, the film looks at Dallas visits by Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen, U2 and Elvis Costello in the 70s. It also looks at the influence of Freddy King. A must see for music fans of all ages.
